The SDBS Slow Jam is meeting in person on the 3rd Monday of the month at our NEW LOCATION: Mission Valley Library, in San Diego.

SDBS sponsors an instructed slow jam on the 3rd Monday of every month. The sessions are NOW held at the Mission Valley Library San Diego, CA. The sessions feature an hour of structured slow jam learning experience from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm led Mary Jane Cupp and special guest teachers, with guidance from music teacher Janet Beazley. It's currently free for SDBS members and non-members (We encourage you to join SDBS!).

SDBS Bluegrass in the Libraries Series
We are working on more concerts at a number of San Diego County libraries. Tell your library you'd like a concert. Check back for details. Admission to the SDBS library concerts is free.

Monthly: Board of Directors meetings
Meetings are virtual through Zoom. If you would like to participate online, email Board Prez Mark Pullin. Board meetings are held once a month on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. If you have an item you would like to bring to the Board, or if you would like to attend a Board meeting, please send an email to SDBS at SDBS info  - visitors are welcome.

SDBS Special Events

SDBS presents a variety of special concerts and events throughout the year, including: Bluegrass Day at the Fair this year July 5, 2025. The Summergrass festival (3rd weekend in August; this year August 16-18, 2024), occasional campouts, plus periodic concerts of nationally recognized touring bands. SDBS also co-sponsors or supports many bluegrass-related events, including the Santee Wine & Bluegrass Festival, bluegrass acts at the Belly Up, a series of performances at County and City libraries, and the "Bluegrass & Beyond" concerts at the Del Mar Town Hall, sponsored by the Del Mar Foundation.
